Importance of GATE Exam for Electrical Engineering Graduate
GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is the exam which is conducted every year in 23 subjects and Electrical Engineering (EE) is one of them. This is one of the most important exams for an electrical engineering student who have completed or studying in final year of B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (EE)/Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE). 1) Higher Study: With valid gate score you can apply for higher study like M.Tech (Master of Technology)/M.S (Master of Science) etc in any reputed institute like IITs/NITs/Government Institute. For this you can get 12400 pm for M.Tech or MS.
2) Research Job: With valid gate score you can apply for any research job like Junior Research Fellow (JRF)/ Senior Research Fellow (SRF) etc in any reputed institute like IITs/NITs/Government Institute. For this you can get 25000 pm as JRF and 28000 pm as SRF with HRA (House Rental Allowance).
3) PSUs: With valid gate score you can apply for job in any PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings) like Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL), Coal India Limited (CIL), Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL), Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) etc. For this you can get maximum salary.
