Faridabad Gas Power Station Haryana


Faridabad Gas Power Station (FGPS) is one of the gas power station of NTPC situated in Faridabad with a Installed Capacity: 430 MW. The Gas to the power station is provided by HBJ, Hazira-Bijaipur-Jagdishpur, Pipeline of GAIL. Water is provided by Rampur Distributories of Gurgaon Canal. The Financing of this power station was done by OECF, Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund, Japan. This power station is providing power to the Haryana state.

History

  • 1997 - Approved by Government of India.
  • 1999 - Commissioned Gas Turbine Unit of 143 MW in the month of June.
  • 1999 - Commissioned Gas Turbine Unit of 143 MW in the month of October.
  • 2000 - Commissioned Steam Turbine Unit of 144 MW in the month of July.
